Did you know that when you are scared, sad, or angry your pet will absorb your negative emotions? If a pet absorbs enough negativity, it can cause health issues within them.  I know you don’t want your pet to get sick so I want to share a process that will help you to release your negativity. This simple technique will help you to let go of your fear, sadness, anger, and any other buried negative emotions.

Find some quiet time and space alone and journal. Journaling will give you a better idea of what is going on within yourself and writing it on paper helps you to release it. You may be pleasantly surprised that once you start this process you may find yourself not wanting to stop. You may even uncover feelings you didn’t realize were holding you back. You may discover solutions that you have been looking for. You may see situations in different ways and that may help you to let go and move forward much easier.

I suggest you do this process the old fashion way – with pen and paper. When I do this process, I like to go outside and be in nature. I love to listen to the birds singing and feel that nice warm summer breeze. Pick your favorite place to do this.  Pick a quiet time where you can be alone and focus only on your thoughts.  You can do this process every week or at least once a month.

To get you started, here are some questions that you can either write answers for or explain what you feel at that moment regarding the prompt. These prompts will help you evaluate your emotions and have a better understanding of what is truly going on inside of you.

  • What is the emotion that I feel most these days?
  • What am I holding onto that I must let go of?
  • Do I really want to change? If yes, then what?
  • I feel stressed and anxious when I think about …
  • What is the one thing I recently did that I am proud of?
  • What is the one thing that I feel ashamed about?
  • What is the one thing that I am looking forward to happening in my life?

Answer these profound questions and see how much you get to know about yourself. You can’t let go, heal, or grow until you do this evaluation. Evaluating yourself, your mindset, your ego, your soul, and your heart will be life changing for both you and your pet. Have fun with this!

Wishing you a wonderful healing day!                                    Much Love & Many Blessings, Sue London Hospice Pet Doula, Animal Communicator & Pet Healer youranimalcommunicator.com
