I must confess going to the dentist is certainly not the highlight to my day, week, or even month. When I was 21 years old I had a dental surgeon forgot to read my chart about the fact that I have an allergy towards anesthetic. Because of this allergy it took the dental team over 9 hours to bring me out of it. Since that experience I created a massive fear towards dentists and what they do within our mouths.
I am truly blessed now to have a very open minded dentist, whom for the record I truly love (this is something that I would never have said in the past towards a dentist!) and she is also a Reiki healer. Dr Manjula Duhan has helped lesson my fear but I will admit I do have a ways to go. I have decided this is my year to suck up my fear and have my mercury fillings removed.
So thanks to my puppy Marley, our 4 pound shih-Tzu, and this technique below from my radio guest Janet Nestor I don’t get that shear panic feeling before I visit Dr Duhan! Try this technique below and see if it helps you!

Today we are having a very cold snow storm in our area. I love a nice warm healthy bowl of broccoli soup on days like this. Its takes a short time to make, its vegetarian and fits into my gluten free diet. Our family LOVES this. Enjoy!
Broccoli Cheddar Soup
1 tablespoon EV Olive Oil
3 cloves Garlic (chopped)
1 Onion (chopped)
4 cups Veggie Broth
2 medium Potatoes (chopped)
12 oz Broccoli (roughly 4 cups of florets)
1 cup Cheddar Cheese (shredded then measured)
In a large pot add the oil, garlic and onion
Cook until the onion and garlic soften and get fragrant
Add the veggie broth and potatoes
Boil until the potatoes are tender
Add the broccoli and cook until tender, about 3 minutes
Remove from the heat, and stir in the cheese
Using an immersion blender, traditional blender, or food processor puree the mixture (be very careful, this is going to be hot!)
