10 Steps for Overcoming Adversities in Life by Sue London, Intuitive Messenger

A Strong Determination

You can create more good days then bad days in your life! You have the choice. Start each morning just before hopping out of bed and say, “It’s going to be a fantastic day! I’m going to be productive and successful in everything that I do!” Don’t let things hold you back. Put out your intentions for what you want to create that day. Let your strong determination kick into gear and create the lifestyle you desire.

Stop Worrying

Worrying is a huge waste of time and energy. Well over half of the things we worry about never come to fruition. What you put your focus on, you will attract! Always ask yourself… can I do something about this? If you can, then do it. If you can’t, then forget about it and let nature take its course.

Homemade Cranberry Sauce

Cranberry-Sauce

In our home we don’t buy anything pre-made or processed. We can and freeze and make everything from scratch. That is my secret to keeping healthy! This is our family favourite for a declicous cranberry sauce. Enjoy!

CRANBERRY SAUCE RECIPE

Makes about 8 (8 oz) half pints

YOU WILL NEED:

  • 4 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • 8 cups fresh cranberries (about 2 lbs.)
  • Grated zest of 1 large orange, optional
  • 4  (16 oz) pint or 8  (8 oz) half pint glass preserving jars with lids and bands

DIRECTIONS:

PREPARE boiling water canner. Heat jars in simmering water until ready for use. Do not boil.  Wash lids in warm soapy water and set bands aside.

COMBINE sugar and water in a large stainless steel saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring to dissolve sugar. Boil hard for 5 minutes. Add cranberries and return mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and boil gently, stirring occasionally, until all berries burst and liquid begins to sheet from a metal spoon, about 15 minutes. Stir in orange zest, if using, during the last few minutes of cooking.

LADLE hot cranberry sauce into hot jars leaving 1/4 inch headspace. Remove air bubbles and adjust headspace, if necessary, by adding hot cranberry sauce. Wipe rim. Center lid on jar. Apply band until fit is fingertip tight.

PROCESS jars in a boiling water canner for 15 minutes, adjusting for altitude. Remove jars and cool. Check lids for seal after 24 hours. Lid should not flex up and down when center is pressed.

The Christmas Gift by Sue London

One of the most common questions that I am asked when people’s loved ones cross over is, “Are they alright”?

When my Grandpa Buck crossed over I will tell you in all honesty, I was absolutely consumed with grief. I had experienced a very lonely childhood and my Grandpa Buck was the man to help me cope. When I was 21 years old, just before my Grandpa crossed over, he promised he would always be nearby. He promised to continue to love, support and protect me, and he continues to this day.

New Beginnings

New Beginnings

Years ago I struggled with Crohns disease, abuse, a life and death pregnancy, was given just thirty minutes to live, flat lined and crossed over to the other side, to come back and learn my husband of sixteen years had a girlfriend. It was a time in my life that I experienced tremendous spiritual growth. I learned that life is very short and every minute is truly a gift. Knowing that life can end at the wink of an eye, I became empowered. I asked my angels to give me the courage and strength to make positive changes in my life. They provided the right people, places, and situations that would help me make those positive changes. Within a short time I began to experience the miracles unfold around me, as you will learn about throughout this book.

Before I was diagnosed with Crohns disease I will honestly tell you that I took life for granted. I will admit I ate poorly, worried about EVERYTHING, was fearful of being the center of attention, was fearful of the unknown, and I was a people pleaser. I would never say NO to anyone. Then on May 1st 1989, life changed for me. God and my angels were about to teach me the biggest lessons that I would ever learn in my life. On the day, little did I know that I would go on to teach my lessons to millions of people around the world. As I sat in front of my doctor I heard him say the test results showed up as Crohns disease. I thought I would pass out. I thought life was over and I wished I could die. Crohn’s disease is inflammation in the intestinal track. Symptoms include rapid weight loss, chronic diarrhea, and severe pain – just to name a few! My emotions included being angry, depressed, and devastated. During that time, I gave up on my belief in God. Just nine months earlier I had delivered my first baby – a beautiful baby girl, whom I had waited to conceive for four years. To have this disease and those horrible symptoms come just after I experienced such an incredible gift of giving birth, made me question how I could be a good mother, and what her childhood would be like. I blamed God for me giving me this horrible disease.
